Another crowd pleaser in the Model Meals kitchen this week. When the slaws come out, the claws come out, cause you know how we feel about cabbage up in here.
As you know, we at Model Meals want to make your life easier, and that does not stop at delivering delicious complete meals to your doorstep every week. We love handing over our clean recipes as well. This week we served our southern slaw with BBQ pulled pork.
Chef's Paul and Tony are known for getting crazy with their intricate Whole30 recipes, but the days are getting longer, and we are filling them with hikes and pool time, so we thought you might want an easy one that's fast and pretty much goes with anything. Southern Slaw it is.
1/2 head shredded green cabbage
1/2 head shredded purple cabbage
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup shredded carrot
1/4 cup red onion
1 TBSP toasted carraway
3/4 cup primal kitchen mayo
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Place cabbage, celery, carrot and onion into a large bowl and toss.
Place remaining ingredients into a small bowl and use an emulsion blender to combine everything together very well. Pour mixture over your veg and combine everything with your hands. Serve with a protein of choice or enjoy it alone as a lunch or snack.
